It’s here. And there are seven of them.
The seven finalists of the iTalent 2 competition, which was open to innovative startup companies that have developed cutting-edge talent management solutions, will soon pitch their offerings to a special panel of HR and recruiting technology analysts, practitioners and influencers at the 2011 HR Demo Show next week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The judging panel — which includes Mark McMillan of the Talent Function Group, the HR Demo Show blog squad made up of HR and recruiting practitioners, and little ol’ me — will then share our impressions, good and bad, with the finalists, who may well go onto become established leaders in the field of talent management technology.
The seven iTalent 2 finalists will have five minutes to demo their solutions, after which they will take questions from the panel and the audience. The companies that will be demonstrating their solutions are:
- BranchOut—Helps individuals tap into their Facebook friends network to find job opportunities.
- InternMatch—Greatly simplifies finding interns and marketing internship opportunities for organizations of all sizes.
- JobScore—Everything a growing firm needs to find and hire great talent – fast, easy and free.
- SmartRecruiters—A powerful, free recruiting solution delivered via the SaaS model.
- Vivecoach—Engages employees in improving their health through a variety of fun wellness challenges.
- Wednesdays—Facilitates teambuilding and employee engagement through networking.
- Work4Labs—A unique app that enables career sites on Facebook.
Love this quote from Evy Wilkins, organizer of iTalent 2:
“The HR Demo Show is the perfect venue for the culmination of our second iTalent competition, especially with so many experts, thought leaders and HR professionals coming together in one place. Think about it—a roomful of top talent executives, experienced entrepreneurs and fellow techies, all gathered to listen to seven startups pitch their latest innovations in talent management. It might be a bit nerve-racking for the presenters but it’s going to fascinating and fun for all.”
Ah, but let’s not forget the big kids on the HR/recruitment technology block who are all giving complete session demos at the HR Demo Show:
- Kenexa
- Guidant Group
- Epicor
- CareerBuilder
- Taleo
- iCIMS
- RECSOLU
- JSTN
- OneWire
- Vistance
Remember, the HR Demo Show is one of four summits taking place at the HRO Today Forum, which assembles HR and recruiting change agents and business executives from across the globe to discuss and define the future of HR services and technology. The other summits are the HRO Summit, the MSP Summit and RPO Summit. All HRO Today Forum attendees receive a free pass to the HR Demo Show, enabling them to test drive and experience the latest recruitment and talent management technologies.
See you next week on the Strip, baby.
